Project Seminar in Digital Humanities
This project-based seminar enables students to apply Digital Humanities methods and theories to independently developed research projects.
Instructor: Luise Borek, Chiara Zuanni, Martina Scholger, Georg Vogeler, Sarah Lang
Course Overview
The seminar provides students with an opportunity to apply knowledge acquired throughout the Master’s programme in Digital Humanities to a substantial research project. Working with data from a range of humanities domains, participants develop and implement digital approaches to address discipline-specific research questions.
The course emphasises independent problem analysis, project design, methodological decision-making, and self-organised project work. Students work closely with a member of the teaching team who provides supervision and guidance throughout the project.
This course was taught at the University of Graz in Summer Semester 2022 together with Luise Borek, Chiara Zuanni, and Martina Scholger, and again in Summer Semester 2023 together with Georg Vogeler, Chiara Zuanni, and Martina Scholger.
